In 1987, Mr. Troast began his professional career working in corporate sales for ITT Sheraton Hotels after completing the General Management Training Program in New York City. After 5 years in the hospitality industry, Mr. Troast joined his family’s businesses, Coldwell Banker Commercial Troast Realty Services and Troast Properties, where he was involved in construction, finance, sales and leasing, and asset management. After spending several years in the commercial real estate brokerage division, Mr. Troast next oversaw the company’s asset management portfolio consisting of over 2 million square feet of retail, office, industrial and multi-family properties. In 2009, Mr. Troast sold his interest in the family brokerage and property management business and became a Managing Member of Troast Enterprises LLC, a real estate holding company that invests primarily in net leased properties.
In 2017, Mr. Troast joined Allerand and has focused on the Allerand Recovery Holdings’ addiction treatment portfolio which currently has approximately 200 beds and employs over 200 health-care staff members in three states.
