During his 40-year career, Mr. Sabella has served as the owner, operator, asset manager and financier of numerous real estate and other transactions. He has extensive experience in the structuring and execution of complex financing and acquisition transactions.
In 2001, Mr. Sabella and J. Peter Paganelli formed Prism Venture Partners, LLC, Allerand’s predecessor company, to pursue opportunistic investments and create structured investment products. From 1997-2001, Mr. Sabella was a partner in NorthStar Capital Partners, a diversified real estate investment and financing company. During his tenure at NorthStar, Mr. Sabella served as one of four senior principals that invested more than one billion dollars of equity capital. Mr. Sabella also functioned as the President and CEO of Presidio Capital Corporation, a public company that was the successor entity to Integrated Resources, Inc., a major syndicator and owner of net leased real estate.
From 1983 to 1997, Mr. Sabella practiced law at the New York firm of Cahill Gordon & Reindel. In 1990, Mr. Sabella became the firm’s partner in charge of real estate, presiding over a practice group of approximately 20 professionals and staff. During his legal career, Mr. Sabella represented major corporate and institutional investors in local and national matters. Mr. Sabella was a Member of the Board of Directors of Casden Properties, Inc., a diversified real estate investment trust, from 1998-2001, an Adjunct Professor of Law at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law from 1987-1994, and a Member of the Board of Editors of the New York Real Estate Law Reporter from 1990-1997.
